Back Up Care - Accepting Referrals
As a Back-Up Care Nanny: You'll provide in-home childcare on a part-time or temporary basis, creating a safe and engaging environment for children of all ages, from newborns to school-age. Enjoy the flexibility of making your own schedule and working when you want to, typically during daytime hours Monday through Friday, with shifts lasting a minimum of 4 hours. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain diverse experience working with different families and children, with the potential to work up to 30 hours per week. Plus, The Nanny Network now offers SAME-DAY PAY! Successfully complete a job, and you can collect up to 70% of your earnings immediately. Pay for back-up care positions starts at $17 per hour before taxes and includes eligibility for our quarterly raise program allowing potential for wage growth every 3 months! For both Back-Up Care roles, we require: • A minimum of two years of recent professional childcare experience (examples include nannying, babysitting, behavioral therapy, daycare, teaching, and newborn care). • At least two professional references (not including family members or friends) that we can contact to verify your experience. • A genuine love for children and an enthusiastic, positive attitude. • Excellent communication and punctuality. • Reliable transportation to and from families' homes (non-drivers are welcome to apply, but some locations may not be accessible via public transportation). You should be open to travel plus or minus 30 miles each way for jobs. • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete/renew certification before accepting work. • Must be over the age of 18 and legally able to work in the United States. • Willingness to work in homes with pets (pet care is not a requirement). • A preference among many families for non-smokers. • A teamwork spirit and the ability to adapt to different family dynamics. Long-term Temporary Position: 6-8 months Family may be interested in extending for the right fit! A family in Frederick is looking for a part-time nanny to assist when dad is working his firefighter shifts. Care is for their infant son who will be around 5 months old at the start of care. The care days will rotate, however, the family knows the schedule 6 weeks in advance and will provide it to their nanny. The hours of care will be 7:30am-5:30pm and care will take place 2 days a week (Monday-Friday). The family is looking for an engaging, knowledgeable nanny. Someone who will take their son on daily walks around the neighborhood and encourage him to explore the world around him as he grows. Their little one has reflux so they need someone who is comfortable with this and will not panic when he spits up. They are happy to have their nanny leave extra clothes at their home and make use of their washer and dryer should their little one accidentally spit up on their nanny’s clothes. The parents do contact naps and would love to find a nanny who will enjoy the baby snuggles as he snoozes. Tasks for the nanny include diaper changes, changing their little one's clothes should he spit up, assisting with their son’s laundry, preparing & cleaning their son’s bottles, and keeping areas of the home used by the nanny and their son neat & tidy. The position requires a driver, though no driving is allowed for the position. Mom works from home and may occasionally take some one on one time with their little one.
