A driver with a car to go to local parks and stables to watch the horses (while social distancing) is needed. Son A will be 10 months at the time of care and Son B is 2.5 yrs old. Care is needed Monday and Tuesday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Wednesday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Thursday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The caregiver should have experience working with a toddler and infant and knowledgeable about the transition to solid foods for an infant. Son B: enjoys sports of all kinds, playing with his legos, train table and walks outdoors. The family’s neighborhood has plenty of outdoor space for play as well as a nature walk. The family is encouraging the nanny to use the same structure as the daycare center the children attended before the pandemic as both children have adapted to this schedule. The family utilizes positive redirection as timeouts are not an option. The family has had minimal exposure to public places (only grocery shopping and work). They are currently working mainly from home but also have obligations at the office occasionally during the week. Mom is a pediatric specialist at JHH and will be working from an upstairs home office during most of the week and can be available to help with the baby (naps/ breastfeeding) during the day but otherwise needs help watching the children so she can get work done. Dad works from a home office as well but spends most of the day outside for business. The nanny would need to wear a mask while indoors and wash hands frequently. The family is flexible with the hours and days of the week as they are looking for a nanny for approximately 30 hours a week.

The right fit for this family is also someone who loves pets, as the family has a toy poodle that needs to be walked 1 time per day, (5mins.) Someone who is proactive, can juggle schedules between the two children, enjoys going to the park, taking walks, singing songs and can assist in the educational aspects and progress of both is needed. When time permits, parents would love to read a book or make a trip to the park provided this works with the nanny’s schedule. Tasks would include caring for the baby’s bottles and baby needs, preparing their lunch, and keeping things neat and tidy. The family wears masks when in public, uses hand sanitizer, and practices safe social distancing with limited interaction and would ask the nanny to do the same. A mask while in the home would not be needed. Once their lease is up this summer in Baltimore city, they may relocate to Towson or a nearby area, so a driver with a car may be needed at that time.
