As a Back-Up Care Nanny: You'll provide in-home childcare on a part-time or temporary basis, creating a safe and engaging environment for children of all ages, from newborns to school-age. Enjoy the flexibility of making your own schedule and working when you want to, typically during daytime hours Monday through Friday, with shifts lasting a minimum of 4 hours. Pay for back-up care positions starts at $17 per hour before taxes and includes eligibility for our quarterly raise program allowing potential for wage growth every 3 months! For both Back-Up Care roles, we require: • A minimum of two years of recent professional childcare experience (examples include nannying, babysitting, behavioral therapy, daycare, teaching, and newborn care). • At least two professional references (not including family members or friends) that we can contact to verify your experience. • A genuine love for children and an enthusiastic, positive attitude. • Excellent communication and punctuality. • Reliable transportation to and from families' homes (non-drivers are welcome to apply, but some locations may not be accessible via public transportation). You should be open to travel plus or minus 30 miles each way for jobs. • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete/renew certification before accepting work. • Must be over the age of 18 and legally able to work in the United States. • Willingness to work in homes with pets (pet care is not a requirement). • A preference among many families for non-smokers. • A teamwork spirit and the ability to adapt to different family dynamics. Start date is flexible. Open to an immediate start but willing to wait for the right fit. A warm and welcoming Baltimore family is looking for a full-time nanny to care for their baby girl, who will be around 6 months old at the start of the position. Care is needed Monday–Thursday from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility for schedule changes or an added Friday (advance notice will always be provided). This family is seeking an experienced, loving nanny who truly enjoys working with infants and can provide attentive, engaging care. Their ideal candidate is reliable, friendly, and brings a fun, positive energy to each day! Daily responsibilities will include all aspects of infant care; diapering, feeding support (including introducing solids when the time comes), maintaining a consistent nap schedule, and planning age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones. Most importantly, they’re looking for someone who will actively engage their daughter and nurture her curiosity as she grows. The family has access to a pool and would love someone who is comfortable supervising young children around water (no swimming required, as it is a baby pool with a lifeguard present). They are also open to candidates who use public transportation. There is a cat in the home who tends to keep to itself, but comfort around pets is important.
