We are recruiting for temporary backup care nannies in all service areas Monday-Sunday. Hours vary from 7am onwards for half and full day shifts. Jobs will suit both drivers and non-drivers, subject to area and client. The nanny will be caring for children ranging in age from infants to school age either throughout the day or evening. A great opportunity to work around your own schedule.

Arlington, VA, This family are looking to find a professional, organized, structured Family Assisyant to join their family team. The role will be a guaranteed 40 hours per week Mon-Fri. Typical hours will be from 10am-6pm with flexibility for an occasional 8am-4pm (with notice). The family usually require 1 later evening each week when they attend a work function or dinner. The role is to manage the household and take the reins in the parents absence. Duties will include, family errands, family grocery shopping, family laundry, warming children’s meals (not cooking), straightening the house, loading/unloading dishwasher and generally taking the initiative to keep the household running smoothly and maintaining its tidiness and organization. Nanny will be responsible for colecting the children from the school bus in the afternoon from around 3pm. Throughout the schools Summer vacation, they will need to be taken and dropped at various camps within a 5 mile radius. During the year the children attend after school sports on some evenings and so the Nanny/House Manager will be responsible for driving to these local pursuits. This role require discipline, organization, an attention to detail, someone forward thinking and able to take the initiative without being micro managed. A great opportunity for someone who likes to plan, organize and keep busy. Family have 2 cats. Start asap, driver with own car required, salary $20-22/hr, paid vacation and mileage reimbursement.

Owings Mills, Family looking for an experienced, reliable and professional Nanny to care for twins born April 2017. The family are seeking a collaborative approach to their childcare, a Nanny who is comfortable taking the parents lead with regards to care, routines and behavioral, management as the children grow. The role will be approximately 25 hours per week with a proposed schedule of Mon, Weds and Fri 8am – 1pm, with Tues and Thurs 10.30-3.30pm – this is open for discussion. Duties will be child related and include all care routines, children’s laundry and bottle/meal prep together with creating engaging program of activities. The family would prefer that the children are not driven by the Nanny at this time. May consider nanny with own child. Nanny should be comfortable around their 8 year old Shetland sheepdog who does not require any care. The flu and whooping cough vaccine would be a preference but not requirement. There are security cameras in their home. Start mid May 2018, salary $15-18/hr pre tax subject to experience.

Essex MD, Family seeking a caring and compassionate part time Nanny for their daughter, born in 2008. This sweet little girl is looking for a trusted companion and someone deeply invested in developing a strong Nanny/Charge relationship with her for the long term. Honesty, great communication and dedication are all characteristics that this family are looking to find in their special Nanny. The role will be a guaranteed 25 hours per week working Monday – Friday with the flexibility to work additional hours (with notice) during snow days, sick days and other non school days. A typical schedule will require a school pick up around 2.45pm then transporting her home where the Nanny will assist with homework,serve a snack/meal, engage in creative play before taking her to a daily Kepno class around 5pm at which time the Nanny’s work day will end.
The additional hours may be scheduled the Nanny’s discretion (2 hours daily before school pickup or 2-3 longer days per week) and should be used to take care of additional family errands such as grocery shopping, meal planning and prep, laundry and straightening the home.Throughout the Summer when the child is home from school, there will still be a guaranteed 25 hours per week with the likelihood of some additional hours – although the times of work will vary and are likely to be between 9.30-4pm during this time. A Nanny car and cell phone may be provided, mileage reimbursement and paid vacation. Start June 2018, salary $16-18/hr pre tax subject to experience.

Woodstock, MD. This growing family are looking to find an experienced Nanny to work alongside Mom while on maternity leave and then in sole charge upon her return to work. Working 36 hours per week the schedule will be Mon, Weds and Thurs from 8.45 – 6.45 and then on Tues 8.45 – 2.45. The family have two school aged children and are expecting their third child middle of April. The family are looking to find someone who is flexible, willing, warm and engaging with a self initiated approach to their work. Duties will include assisting with drop offs and pick ups at the school bus stop for the two oldest children, family meal prep and preparing snacks, assisting with the newborn duties, such as bottle prep, diaper changes, settling infant to sleep, family errands such a grocery shopping and straightening areas of the home used by the children. The family are hoping to find someone who is willing to work as part of the family team and the necessary duties will be divided among Mom and Nanny as each day comes. Ellicott City family seeking an experienced, professional nanny to care for their 2 children. For the most part the Nanny will care for the youngest child aged 2 years but will have the 4 year old on occasion. The family is looking to find a considerate and loving caregiver who enjoys reading to and playing with children. The role will be 3 days per week, working Mon and Weds from 8.30-4.30pm and Thurs 8.30am until 5pm. Duties will be child related and include meals and home based activity planning such as reading, playing in the backyard, and library trips. Ideal qualities that the family are looking to find in their Nanny are safety, a kind personality, and enjoyment of playing with children. The youngest child has allergies to peanuts, nuts, and sunflower seeds and so the Nanny will feel comfortable managing these restrictions in his diet. North Baltimore City area (Near Loyola/Calvert School) A wonderful opportunity to become part of this family team caring for infant twins. Family looking to find an experienced, dedicated professional nanny to care for twins born in March 2017. This role will be Mon-Fri from 7.30am until approx 6.30pm, a guaranteed 50 hours per week with occasional overtime. The family are looking for a long term nanny who will work with them in maintaining age appropriate routines, engage the infants in play and gradually create a schedule of activities in line with their developmental growth. As the children get older, the family would like them to participate in social activities such as singing or music classes, library trips,outings, walks in the park for example. The successful nanny will be a great communicator, open and honest, be completely trustworthy with a collaborative spirit, willing to share knowledge and expertise together with take direction. Duties include children’s laundry (family laundry would be a bonus), bottle and meal prep, keeping areas of the home used, straight and tidy and ensuring the nursery is kept tidy and clean. In addition, the family have 2 small dogs who are both a huge part of the family dynamic and where possible the family would love for the nanny to walk them with the stroller (very well behaved). A non smoker required, driver with own car , may consider a nanny who brings their own child (salary would be reflected) start 4-6 weeks, salary $15-17/hr pre tax.
